With Objection to Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, Adam Laxalt Opposes More Jobs for Nevadans

KLAS: “Leaders at Southern Nevada’s largest labor unions are calling out […] Adam Laxalt over his opposition to the bipartisan infrastructure bill […] saying, ‘Adam Laxalt is a threat to Nevada jobs.’”

As Nevadans and Americans celebrate the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal being signed into law, failed politician Adam Laxalt remains steadfast in his opposition to this popular legislation.

Adam Laxalt has focused his campaign on stopping this bill. With Laxalt in the Senate, Nevadans might never see these new jobs, and would lose out on critical funding to combat wildfires and deliver clean drinking water to Nevadans. Laxalt has been so focused on killing the infrastructure package that labor leaders called him a direct “threat to Nevada jobs.” Laxalt’s “no vote” would be voting against:

  • Thousands of new Nevada jobs
  • Projects to fight extreme drought in the state
  • $8 billion to combat wildfires in the region
  • $3 billion to rebuild Nevada’s roads, bridges, transit, and provide broadband access to at least 123,000 Nevadans

Statement from Nevada Democratic Victory Spokesperson, Andy Orellana:

“With communities across Nevada set to receive critical support and create thousands of new jobs because of the bipartisan infrastructure deal, the stakes of our U.S. Senate race have become even greater. While Senator Cortez Masto is helping Nevadans get back to work and securing critical funding to combat wildfires and drought, Adam Laxalt is focusing his entire campaign on killing Nevada jobs. ”
