With His Eyes on Nevada, Who Will Trump Endorse in #NVGov GOP Primary?

With former President Trump endorsing corrupt and failed politician Adam Laxalt last week for U.S. Senate and his history of weighing in on other governor’s races across the country, it’s only a matter of time before he makes an endorsement in the crowded GOP primary for Nevada Governor. As the primary field grows and candidates ramp up their efforts to win over the far-right, who will Trump endorse?

With Dean Heller’s hot-and-cold relationship with Trump, there’s no telling where the two stand now but Heller is known for doing whatever it takes to earn Trump’s support when it’s politically convenient. We shouldn’t expect this time to be any different. Joe Lombardo, as usual, wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants his base to believe he’s Trumpy but admitted he wouldn’t actively work for Trump’s endorsement. Trump loyalist Joey Gilbert is the most consistent, defending the former president at the Stop the Steal rally and hanging out with fellow Trump sycophants Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, and Mike Lindell.

“After endorsing his lackey Adam Laxalt last week, Trump clearly has his eyes on Nevada,” said Nevada Democratic Victory spokesperson Mallory Payne. “While Republicans across the country are clawing over themselves to earn Trump’s endorsement, the Nevada Republican primary for Governor is becoming ground zero in the battle to out-Trump one another.”
