It’s the week before the first (and likely the last since Joe Lombardo’s default mode is hiding!) #nvgov debate. Over the next five days, we’ll be sharing the top five things you should know about Joe Lombardo before he takes the stage on Sunday, October 2nd.

One: Lombardo is beyond unqualified to lead Nevada on education.

Despite claiming he wants to be the education governor, Lombardo can’t even answer basic questions about the issue. When asked if he thought teachers deserve a raise or whether schools were underfunded, Lombardo said, “I don’t know.”

His education “plans” are either vague, lies, or regurgitations of the governor’s accomplishments and previously-stated second term priorities. He has no plans to improve Nevada’s education system, much less even a basic understanding of it.

His plan to keep students safe includes putting more guns in schools by arming teachers–which is both ineffective policy and widely unpopular among educators.
