There’s a New Sheriff in Town

Michele Fiore: “I’m definitely a law and order candidate and we protect our police and we work hard for them and I defend them at all costs.”

It’s time for Joe Lombardo to step aside because Michele Fiore has declared herself the Law and Order candidate in the GOP primary for governor. After Lombardo built his campaign around being sheriff and promising to bring his crisis management background to Carson City, Fiore is calling him out for not protecting a Blue Lives Matter march. She then doubled down on her own commitment to law enforcement, saying she’ll protect and defend the police at all costs. This comes after she attacked Lombardo on the 2nd Amendment, claiming that just because he carries a gun as sheriff doesn’t mean he wants others to have that same right.

Fiore clearly doesn’t see Lombardo as a viable candidate–after her launch, he admitted that Fiore had originally agreed to support his campaign for governor…until she jumped into the race herself with no heads up to his team.

“Michele Fiore must be as unimpressed with Lombardo as we are,” said Nevada Democratic Victory spokesperson Mallory Payne. “First, she ditched his campaign to launch her own and now, she’s taking on the title of Law and Order candidate. If this is the GOP civil war eight months out, the battlefield will be a disaster by June.”
