The GOP’s Big Lie Costing Joe Lombardo Party Unity Following the Primary

After shamelessly going along with the Big Lie, Lombardo’s craven politics are now backfiring

After a weak showing in the primary, coming in third place in 7 out of 15 of Nevada’s reddest counties, and admitting he wasn’t able to coalesce the base throughout an “adversarial” primary, things just keep getting worse for Joe Lombardo.

As Joey Gilbert refuses to concede, continues crying fraud and threatening lawsuits, it doesn’t look like Lombardo will be coalescing this base any time soon. Let’s not forget that Lombardo played his own role casting doubt on our elections – taking the stage with prominent election deniers while his PAC was called out for pushing baseless election fraud claims.

  • Yet Gilbert doubled down in a new Facebook post, writing that he refuses to concede until every vote is “legitimately” counted and signaling a possible lawsuit — even despite updated results from the Secretary of State’s office on Thursday further solidifying Lombardo’s victory in the crowded primary contest.
