The primary election has officially been recounted and recertified but don’t expect this to be the end of Joey Gilbert’s efforts to contest the election. As his threats to file litigation loom over the Republican Party, he’s making it impossible for Joe Lombardo to coalesce the Republican base and win over the 60% of GOP voters who rejected him in the primary. 

With the Big Lie continuing to blow up in Lombardo’s face, it’s no wonder Lombardo desperately called on two time Nevada loser Donald Trump to save his sinking campaign (again).

“Joe Lombardo’s refusal to denounce the Big Lie is still backfiring a month after the primary as his opponent relentlessly works to overturn the election results,” said Nevada Democratic Victory spokesperson Mallory Payne. “After getting incessantly attacked as a ‘RINO’ for the last year and now facing election contest threats from Joey Gilbert, Lombardo’s failure to unify his own party is a problem that can’t be fixed with a few Trump visits.”
