As Joe Lombardo travels the state asking for a promotion and skips work roughly two days a week, new reporting shows Las Vegas had one of the highest homicide rates in the entire country. Homicides skyrocketed nearly 60% last year and are keeping at a close pace this year. Robberies, burglaries, larceny and assaults are all on the rise, as well.
“For nearly two years, Joe Lombardo has put the safety of Nevadans on the back burner while he travels the state campaigning for a promotion,” said Nevada Democratic Victory spokesperson Mallory Payne. “Despite parents and small businesses across the valley calling on him to help, Lombardo continues to put political gain first while Nevadans pay the price and face some of the worst crime rates in the country.”
