NEW: Adam Laxalt Makes First Comments on January 6th Aftermath, Laments Negative Impact on Trump

Laxalt Refuses to Condemn Jan. 6th Violence, Instead Refers to “Fateful Day in January… When They Pulled [Trump] Off Social Media”

Corrupt, failed politician Adam Laxalt led efforts to spread Trump’s Big Lie in 2020 and headlined a “Stop the Steal” rally, helping to fuel  the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. Yet, Laxalt has remained silent on the siege of the Capitol, refusing to condemn the violence or even discuss it publicly at all.

In a recent interview, Laxalt broke his vow of silence on the insurrection he helped inspire, making his first ever public comments. But instead of denouncing the violence, Laxalt instead complained about what he considered to be unfair treatment of President Trump. Laxalt’s astounding response is below:

LAXALT: “And that fateful day in January, when they pulled him off of social media and pulled him off of Twitter and people felt that in their stomach. Oh my God, they can cancel a former president of the United States…”

Statement from Senior Communications Advisor, Andy Orellana:

“It’s been nearly ten months after the deadly insurrection that Adam Laxalt helped incite by fueling the Big Lie, and Laxalt’s first public comments on the aftermath of that fateful day are lamenting its negative impact on Trump. January 6 was one of the darkest days in our history, when the American people watched as the nation’s capital came under siege, yet Laxalt is once again reminding Nevadans that he is focused only on serving Trump.”

A full transcript of Laxalt’s first public comments on the January 6th insurrection is available below and here on video.

[05:01] LAXALT: You know, there is nothing more important right now than us trying to save our country. I’m hearing it every day, we are at the crossroads. And I warned, as the Chair of the Trump campaign in 2020, we fought all the way to the end for him and day after day we kept saying if Trump loses, the left’s advance will be faster and swifter than we can ever imagine.

[05:32] LAXALT: And that fateful day in January, when they pulled him off of social media and pulled him off of Twitter and people felt that in their stomach. Oh my God, they can cancel a former president of the United States? And we’re seeing this advance right now and I think the only silver lining is it’s gonna take this for people to wake up and understand that the left is playing for keeps. They want to radically transform our nation.
