Nevada Democratic Victory Opens South Reno Office & Hosts Weekend Events with Senator Amy Klobuchar

Over the weekend, Nevada Democratic Victory continued their fight to elect Democrats in November with events across the state

Last weekend, Nevada Democratic Victory continued its work to engage voters statewide as the election draws nearer (only 57 days!) with special appearances from Senator Amy Klobuchar at a roundtable and canvass launch in Las Vegas. NDV also opened its eighth office in South Reno with an event hosting local candidates and volunteers.

At a stop on End Citizens United’s Vote For Democracy tour, Sen. Klobuchar joined Nevada Democratic candidates Cisco Aguilar, Rep. Steven Horsford, and Asm. Brittney Miller as well as SEIU Local 1107 and Nevada NOW for a Women’s Rights and Democracy Roundtable, covered by the Review-Journal. As Tiffany Muller, Executive Director of End Citizens United, said regarding Republicans in 2022: “What are they coming after next? They told us! They’re coming after contraception, they’re coming for marriage equality… We need champions in office to protect our democracy, like Cisco.”

Afterwards, Sen. Klobuchar joined Rep. Susie Lee for a canvass launch at a Nevada Democratic Victory office in Summerlin. As covered by the Review-Journal, Sen. Klobuchar emphasized the importance of this election:

“Klobuchar said local Republican challengers, including Adam Laxalt for U.S. Senate and Jim Marchant for secretary of state, would work to limit voters’ rights while Democrats are attempting to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the Electoral Count Reform Act.”
