As choice becomes increasingly important to Nevadans, Joe Lombardo is desperately trying to rewrite history and cover up his dangerous, anti-choice positions. First, his campaign tried to back up their lies by citing local news outlets…that were, in fact, just quotes from their own spokesperson.

To back up that time-honored campaign trail hyperbole in their ad, Lombardo’s handlers cite stories from the Las Vegas Review Journal and your friendly Nevada Current. Both citations are presented as if they were matter of fact conclusions of the news organizations. They’re not. On the contrary, they were merely statements from Lombardo’s campaign that were included in the stories.

Then, he was caught red-handed rewriting history (literally) on his website, going from one vague sentence in the primary to lies trying to erase his alarming past comments pledging to consider contraception bans.

“As abortion access becomes a key issue for voters, Joe Lombardo is resorting to deceptive tactics to cover up his support for overturning Nevada’s existing abortion protections and banning contraception,” said Nevada Democratic Victory spokesperson Mallory Payne. “Lombardo, clearly incapable of being honest with Nevadans, is a craven politician who’s only out for himself.”
