Lombardo Accepts Campaign Contribution from Convicted Rapist

Joe Lombardo has centered his campaign around his law enforcement background and keeping families safe –  but he has an alarming pattern of supporting and accepting support from people who have victimized women.

According to his most recent Contributions & Expenses report filed with the Nevada Secretary of State, Lombardo accepted thousands of dollars from a convicted rapist. This comes after he allowed alleged abuser Kevin McMahill to climb the ranks of Metro, ultimately set to become Clark County’s next top cop. Lombardo also received $60,000 from Steve Wynn and his affiliated entities, who has been credibly accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of former employees.

“Joe Lombardo wants Nevadans to believe he cares about their safety, but behind the scenes, he’s cozying up to alleged sexual abusers for political gain,” said Nevada Democratic Victory spokesperson Mallory Payne. “If there’s one thing we can always count on, it’s that Lombardo will put his political career before Nevadans.”
