Laxalt Continues to Push to Raise Health Care Costs for Nevadans

With the Inflation Reduction Act signed into law, corrupt politician Adam Laxalt is doubling down on his opposition to the legislation that targets the clients of his Washington, DC law firm. He has made millions at the law firm which represents Chevron and Shell, massive corporations that will not be able to avoid paying taxes under the new law, and he is working overtime to defend them.

The Inflation Reduction Act will make an enormous difference for Nevadans, lowering health care costs, allowing Medicare to negotiate prescription drug costs, helping combat inflation, and cutting the deficit by nearly $300 billion. By opposing the legislation, Laxalt is protecting his substantial investments in Big Pharma companies and the Big Oil clients his firm represents.

Statement from Nevada Democratic Victory Spokesperson Olivia Davis:

“There’s nothing Laxalt won’t say or do to protect his firm’s corporate clients and his personal investments, even opposing this legislation to lower health care costs for thousands of Nevadans. By standing against the Inflation Reduction law, Laxalt is showing once again that he’s out for himself.”
