While rallying with Donald Trump in Minden last night, Adam Laxalt once again chose insurrectionists over law enforcement.

During the rally, Trump boasted about the crowd size of the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, which he and Laxalt fueled by spreading the Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen. 

Laxalt was the co-chair of Trump’s 2020 campaign and is the “face of” the Big Lie in Nevada, having orchestrated failed lawsuit after failed lawsuit to stop a peaceful transfer of power. He has centered his campaign around his allegiance to Trump and old lies about the 2020 election, employs an insurrectionist as a senior campaign operative, and has argued most of the mob should not face any legal consequences. 

Statement from Nevada Democratic Victory spokesperson Olivia Davis: 

“Laxalt continues to tie himself to Trump and turn his back on law enforcement, even embracing insurrectionists to help him gain power. Laxalt is only out for himself.”
