POLITICO: Tapes reveal GOP plan to contest elections

Sleazy, corrupt politician Adam Laxalt has been touting his plot to overturn the upcoming election since he began his campaign for Senate. Now, his party is following his lead and working overtime to lay the foundation for challenging the 2022 election results.

According to POLITICO, the GOP is enacting their plan to recruit party loyalists who believe the 2020 election was stolen as poll workers in heavily Democratic voting locations across the country to sow doubt about the election process.

This shocking new reporting follows months of stories on Laxalt’s plans to file lawsuits preemptively challenging the 2022 election before a single vote is even cast. Last year, AP reported that Laxalt was planning early litigation to “tighten up” the 2022 election and overturn the results. The New York Times then reported that Laxalt is “laying detailed groundwork” to launch lawsuits before the general election.

Statement from Nevada Democratic Victory Spokesperson Olivia Davis:

“Adam Laxalt has made the Big Lie a central tenet of his campaign, and he and the GOP will stop at nothing to overturn the upcoming election if they don’t like the results. Nevadans will reject Laxalt because he’s a sleazy, corrupt politician they can’t trust, and he will go to great lengths to subvert the will of Nevadans in a transparent effort to grab power.”

As the “face of” the Big Lie in Nevada, Laxalt has continuously campaigned on his role leading the failed efforts to contest the Presidential election in 2020 as Trump’s campaign co-chair. He has also faced widespread criticism for fundraising off the backs of fallen law enforcement during the deadly Jan 6. attacks on the U.S. Capitol.
