Deputy Operations Director

Nevada Democratic Victory is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deputy Operations Director for the 2022 Coordinated Campaign. Desirable candidates should be committed to building the grassroots turnout operation needed to re-elect Senator Catherine Cortez Masto and Governor Steve Sisolak and Democrats up and down the ballot.

The Deputy Operations Director will work closely with the Operations Director to help build and manage the statewide operations and logistics of the 2022 Coordinated Campaign to ensure all programmatic departments have the resources and tools needed to turnout Democratic voters in November. The Deputy Operations Director will report to the Operations Director. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Operations Director to manage the day-to-day logistics for the coordinated campaign such as ongoing distribution of supplies, technology, equipment, and literature across the state as needed
  • Assist in scouting and securing regional field offices, setting up utilities, coordinating the delivery of supplies, and any other necessary needs
  • Provide support for logistics-heavy interdepartmental projects such as Packetland and GOTV training logistics
  • Provide support for components of staff onboarding trainings related to logistics, campaign policies, procedures, and security protocols set by the campaign
  • Address operational/logistical issues and needs from staff in a timely manner
  • Assist in other operational and administrative tasks as needed

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2 years/cycles in political, advocacy, administrative work, and/or operations with at least 1 year/cycle on a campaign or in operations
  • Exceptionally well organized with intense attention to detail and process
  • Highly communicative with strong time management skills to meet competing deadlines
  • Flexible, adaptable and solutions-oriented
  • Knowledge of Google suite tools
  • A willingness to work in a fast-paced campaign environment with unpredictable hours
  • Access to a cell phone and vehicle with a valid driver’s license

This role will be based in person in Nevada, and the ability to work remotely will not be available. This is a cyclical campaign position that will end no later than November 15, 2022.
