ICYMI: Another Guy Enters the Chaotic #NVGov GOP Primary

Crowded field grows to four Republicans with two more waiting to jump in

The Republican primary for Governor just got even more crowded with venture capitalist Guy Nohra announcing his bid–and significant investment–yesterday. Nohra joins newly minted Republican, Mayor John Lee, Capitol insurrectionist and Reno attorney Joey Gilbert, and now full-time politician Joe Lombardo. And with former Senator Dean Heller and Mark Amodei waiting in the wings, this race could soon grow to six far-right conservatives competing for the nomination.

“Guy Nohra is jumping into a crowded field of conservatives jockeying to win over a far-right base,” said Nevada Democratic Victory spokesperson Molly Forgey. “With four–potentially soon to be six–Republicans vying for the nomination, one committed to investing at least a million dollars and another who’s already been up on TV, this is sure to be a long and expensive primary. Come next June, whichever Republican survives will then have to face a well-funded, popular Governor.”
