Donald Trump Endorses Laxalt, His Main Lackey in Nevada

As Donald Trump’s main lackey in Nevada, Adam Laxalt has spent his first week as a candidate for U.S. Senate continuing to spread baseless claims of voter fraud during the 2020 election, and last night he was rewarded with Trump’s official endorsement. Laxalt was central to Trump’s campaign to spread baseless claims of voter fraud and the ‘Big Lie’ that led to the deadly insurrection on January 6, and Trump specifically highlighted Laxalt’s efforts in his endorsement saying “[Laxalt] fought valiantly against the Election Fraud, which took place in Nevada.”

After Trump lost Nevada, Laxalt became “the face of Trump’s baseless election fraud lawsuits,” according to independent reports, which said he “orchestrated a slew of failed lawsuits meant to stop the ballot tally.” A federal judge, the Nevada Supreme Court, and Nevada’s Republican Secretary of State all ruled there was no evidence of any fraud, yet Laxalt has still refused to accept the outcome of the 2020 election in Nevada.

Statement from Senior Communications Advisor Andy Orellana:

“Adam Laxalt led Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, spreading baseless claims of voter fraud and helping create the ‘Big Lie’ that led to the deadly insurrection on January 6 at the Capitol. Now as a Senate candidate, Laxalt has based his entire campaign around his loyalty to Trump, even opposing a bill to create jobs in Nevada after Trump called for it to be killed. Laxalt is focused only on serving Trump and himself, not Nevadans.”
