Adam Laxalt Would Kill Thousands of Nevada Jobs

Nevada Labor Leaders: Laxalt a “threat to Nevada jobs.”

Now that the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal has passed both the House and the Senate, Nevada is set to create thousands of good-paying jobs. But Adam Laxalt continues to oppose the historic legislation and the new jobs it will bring to the state. Laxalt has focused his campaign around killing the infrastructure package, even after 19 Senate Republicans voted for it, which is why labor leaders across the state have called him a “threat to Nevada jobs.”

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal will invest critical federal dollars into Nevada’s economy and create thousands of jobs. Laxalt’s “no vote” would be voting against:

  • Clean drinking water for 500,000 homes in the region
  • $8 billion to combat wildfires in the region
  • $3 billion to rebuild Nevada’s roads, bridges, transit, and provide broadband access to at least 123,000 Nevadans

Statement from Senior Communications Advisor, Andy Orellana:

“Thanks to the leadership of Senator Cortez Masto and Democrats across Nevada and the country who crafted the bipartisan infrastructure deal, thousands of good-paying jobs are coming to Nevada. But Adam Laxalt continues to oppose this critical legislation and would therefore kill thousands of new jobs in our state. Laxalt is a threat to Nevada jobs, to our economy, and to all working Nevadans.”
