Laxalt shamelessly fundraises with billionaire who stoked the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol 

Sleazy, corrupt politician Adam Laxalt is fundraising with billionaire Richard Uihlein, the prominent GOP donor who contributed more than $4 million dollars to groups connected to the Big Lie, helping fuel the deadly January 6th insurrection. A Uihlein-funded dark money group has already spent nearly a million dollars to support Laxalt’s race.

As the “face of” the Big Lie in Nevada, Laxalt has not shied away from embracing insurrectionists, Jan. 6 truthers, and QAnon supporters. He defended January 6 insurrectionists, arguing the attack was exaggerated and that most of those involved should not face consequences.

In January, Laxalt endorsed Carolina Serrano and Jim Marchant, both right-wing extremists who have frequently touted conspiracies about the 2020 election and the attack on the Capitol. In March, Laxalt campaigned with a far-right fringe group connected to rioters who faced criminal charges for their role in the insurrection. Laxalt has also received extensive criticism for fundraising off the backs of fallen law enforcement from the attack.

“Corrupt politician Adam Laxalt has based his entire Senate campaign around the Big Lie, so it’s no surprise to see him fundraising with a key funder of events leading up to the violent attacks on the U.S. Capitol and law enforcement on January 6.”
