Today, an Oath Keeper who marched alongside Adam Laxalt’s senior aide during the attack on the U.S. Capitol will go on trial for seditious conspiracy and other charges related to insurrection on January 6. Laxalt has ignored numerous calls from law enforcement to fire his insurrectionist aide and has refused to condemn the deadly attack, calling it exaggerated. 

Laxalt was the co-chair of Donald Trump’s campaign and is the “face of” the Big Lie in Nevada, having orchestrated failed lawsuit after failed lawsuit to stop a peaceful transfer of power. He has centered his campaign around his allegiance to Trump and old lies about the 2020 election. Throughout his campaign, Laxalt has doubled down on his plans to launch legal action to overturn the 2022 election, long before any votes have been cast.

“While the Oath Keepers who marched with Laxalt’s insurrectionist aide face sedition charges at trial, Laxalt continues to tout the Big Lie. Laxalt is only out for himself and will do whatever it takes to get power, even standing against the law enforcement officers keeping Nevadans safe.”
