From lackluster fundraising numbers to Gilbert officially contesting the primary election, it’s a long road ahead for Joe Lombardo

Joe Lombardo’s campaign has struggled to get momentum for the past year and well…some things never change. Despite receiving the Trump endorsement and making it out of the #nvgov circus of a primary, his 2nd quarter fundraising haul was less than impressive. Guess the Trump endorsement isn’t paying off in a couple ways. 😬 

At a time when his campaign should be taking off, Lombardo is still hiding from the public and the press while he’s dogged by investigations and lawsuits for abusing public office for political gain. Meanwhile, Joey Gilbert made good on his threat and filed litigation to contest the primary election, making it nearly impossible for Lombardo to consolidate the Republican base. Better stock up on popcorn because this circus may never leave town!

“Between Joe Lombardo’s abysmal record taking center stage and his primary foe committed to overturning the election, it’s no surprise Lombardo can’t garner enough support to get his campaign off the ground,” said Nevada Democratic Victory spokesperson Mallory Payne. “He can hide from voters and rely on billionaires to fund his candidacy all he wants but Nevadans won’t forget Lombardo is a failed, corrupt politician only out for himself.”
